Optus has completed its purchase of amaysim’s mobile business with its 1.2 million subscribers for $250 million.

Telco Singtel Optus will acquire Australia's biggest mobile virtual network operator, having signed a deal to buy amaysim for $250 million, the company says, adding that it will also be launching a new digital brand gomo which is aimed at providing simple plans and budget-friendly services.

Phil Britt is the CEO and MD of Aussie Broadband, which just listed on the ASX, won a major customer service award, gained its first customer on its new Metro Melbourne fibre network, with Britt also winning the ACOMMS Communications Ambassador Award for 2020, and he joined iTWireTV via Zoom for a good all-round chat.
