While everybody is busy throwing up their hands in shock and horror over the seemingly draconian 20th century work from the office policy suddenly imposed on the Yahoo! corporation by chief executive Marissa Mayer, some may consider asking the question of whether perhaps she's spot on the money.

The news that Yahoo! CEO Marissa Mayer has initiated a no teleworking policy at the legendary dot com company has done more than just ruffle a few feathers among working mothers. It has also sent ripples of alarm through the corporate big end of town among the telecommunications community.

The sad story of the once great Internet company Yahoo! just got sadder for some after a leaked internal memo revealed that current CEO Marissa Mayer has ordered all teleworkers back to the office. Ms Mayer,  a former Google executive who took over as Yahoo! CEO in July 2012, took just two weeks off when she had a baby in October.
