COMPANY NEWS:  Huntress has announced that it has entered into a strategic collaboration with CyberCert, the online certification issuer of the SMB1001 cybersecurity standard. The collaboration aims to deliver the dynamic cybersecurity standard, via the Huntress partner ecosystem, to businesses in Australia to increase their overall cyber resilience. Headed up by Huntress Regional Director APAC, Reece Appleton, and CyberCert Co-Founder & CEO, Peter Maynard, the partnership will offer SMB1001 certifications for a number of Huntress Managed Service Provider (MSP) partners.

GUEST OPINION: The recent mass exploitation of critical vulnerabilities in Ivanti solutions have caused significant disruption for the company’s thousands of customers. This led to the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) issuing a directive to “all federal agencies to disconnect the impacted Ivanti products from their networks and perform additional forensic analysis and clean-up steps in case they’ve already been compromised.” But that’s just the disruptive effect the situation had on federal users. The incident is impacting countless enterprises as well, with Ivanti stating it has more than 40 thousand customers.
