Commpete backs Optus and TPG network sharing deal

Telco challenger alliance Commpete said in a statement it will respect the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission’s (ACCC) decision to approve Optus and TPG Telecom’s 11-year network sharing deal.

Commpete lauds revised SAU as 'major step forward'

Telco alliance body Commpete has welcomed the ACCC's move to publish NBN Co's revised proposed variation to its Special Access Undertaking and applauded the operator's proposal to seek only 28% (instead of 100%) of the $44 billion in accumulated losses recorded in its so-called Initial Cost Recovery Account as "major step forward."

The Albanese Government will expand full-fibre access to 1.5 million premises by 2025 with a $2.4 billion equity investment to NBN Co over four years in the 2022-23 federal budget.
