Telstra and Prysmian Group have announced an expansion to Prysmian's optical cable manufacturing plant, to build advanced intercity fibre with lower environmental impact and to future-proof the country's connectivity needs for the next two decades and beyond.

Telstra cuts over 1000 jobs

Telstra will reduce its workforce by around 1100 positions by June 2014 as a result of the restructure it announced in May. More than 500 jobs go immediately.
